Business Development Manager – Schools Programme
Location: Hybrid with international travel
Fixed-term role for one year with the probability of extending each year up until 5 years.

Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE Generate Team supports students and alumni to build a socially responsible business, in the UK and beyond. We support LSE innovators at each stage of their entrepreneurial journey and provide infrastructure to build, develop and scale their ideas.
The Business Development Manager – Schools Programme provides strategic leadership and direction for the organisation’s national schools engagement and partnership agenda. This pivotal role is accountable for the growth, sustainability, delivery and impact of the Schools Programme, with a focus on income generation, strategic partnerships, project governance, managing junior members of the staff team and donor stewardship.
Reporting to the head of LSE Generate), the postholder will lead the development and execution of a long-term business growth strategy through expanding our network of partner schools, donors, and mentors. They will ensure that the Schools Programme remains financially sustainable, operationally excellent, and aligned with the organisation’s mission and strategic objectives.
Candidates should have:
- Extensive experience in senior business development, partnership, or income generation roles, preferably within the education, youth, or non-profit sectors
- Proven record of developing and delivering multi-year growth strategies and meeting substantial income targets.
- Demonstrable experience of leading teams and complex projects, with a track record of operational excellence.
