Student Experience Officer

 

Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is an open-ended subject to funding contract, with funding for two years

 

Launched in January 2025, the Global School of Sustainability (GSoS) is an ambitious new initiative at LSE, bringing together research, teaching, and engagement across global sustainability challenges. The Student Experience Officer will work across the Global School of Sustainability (GSoS) supporting student engagement, experiential learning, and operational excellence aligned with the School’s strategic priorities.

 

The role will play a key part in the development and delivery of the joint initiative with the LSE Sustainability team to implement an LSE Sustainability Living Lab, supporting the set-up and coordination of impactful, student-led research projects that use LSE’s campus as a testbed for innovation. The postholder will work closely with professional services and academic stakeholders to shape meaningful opportunities that enhance student learning and drive institutional sustainability. Alongside this, the postholder will lead on student-facing activities for GSoS, including supporting curriculum-linked engagement, community-building events, and managing processes for other new emerging initiatives. Working closely with colleagues and students, the role will foster an inclusive and collaborative student culture across the LSE.

 

The postholder will be a highly organised and motivated team player, with strong project coordination skills and a passion for student-led change. They will contribute to advancing the Global School of Sustainability’s and LSE’s shared commitment to Educate for Global Impact. As well as the key points below:

 

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear briefings, reports, and promotional content.

·        Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including students, academic staff, professional services, and external partners.

·        Experience supporting student involvement and co-creation in academic or co-curricular contexts, with an understanding of student wellbeing, equity, and inclusion.

·        Enthusiasm for student-led sustainability, social impact, or environmental change initiatives.
