Media Relations Manager
Salary from £36,647pa with potential to progress to £47,456pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment, initially for 3 years with the potential to extend subject to funding
The Grantham Research Institute is a world-leading centre for the study of the economics and social sciences of climate change and other global environmental problems at London School of Economics and Political Science.
We are seeking a talented media relations professional to join our communications team and manage our relationships with journalists in the UK and abroad. This is a role for someone who will thrive in a high-profile institute that promotes informed discussion and decision-making in a controversial area.
Candidates should have:
· Experience working as a proactive media relations professional in the public, private or third sector;
· A successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with print, broadcast and online journalists from specialist, regional and national media in the UK and overseas;
· A proven ability to manage the national and international media profile and reputation of a major organisation or institution.
