Contemporary Turkish Studies Administrative & Research Assistant

 

Salary from £28,240 to £31,527 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £33,753 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a permanent appointment and is full time

 

The European Institute is a world-leading and multidisciplinary centre of excellence for research and teaching on contemporary Europe in a global context. We are seeking a highly motivated, efficient and hardworking individual to support our Contemporary Turkish Studies programme. The post holder will be responsible for supporting both research and administration.

 

The assistant will support the European Institute's Contemporary Turkish Studies programme in furthering all aspects of its administrative and academic agenda. For further information regarding the main duties or responsibilities, please see the detailed Job Description.

 

You should have strong communication and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail. You should also have good interpersonal skills, and previous experience of providing administrative support to senior personnel and/or academic staff. You will be computer literate, with knowledge of website editing software. A completed Mphil/PhD degree in the social sciences, with a preference for politics, international relations or economics, by the post start date is desirable.
