LSE Fellow in Accounting

 

Fixed term from 1 September 2022 until 31 August 2024

 

Salary: Band 6 £37,197 to £44,802 pa incl.

 

The Department of Accounting enjoys a pre-eminent reputation for the excellence of its teaching and research and for its leading role in public-policy issues. It ranks alongside the leading departments in accounting and financial management worldwide.

 

The Department is seeking to appoint an LSE Fellow who is able to make an important contribution to the Department’s research and teaching in the AOI (Accounting, Organisations and Institutions) area. An LSE Fellow post provides an excellent starting point for an academic to develop their research career while gaining teaching experience. For this fixed-term two-year post, we are specifically looking for high-quality candidates with primary doctoral training and interests in critical, interdisciplinary or sociological research in accounting. Candidates should have completed their PhD or be demonstrably close to completion by the time they take up the post.

 

Candidates should have:

  • A developing record of critical, interdisciplinary or sociological research in accounting;
  • A clear and viable strategy for future research in accounting and an ambition to publish it in the highest quality outlets;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  •  Desirably previous teaching experience.

Successful candidates will normally take up appointment commencing 1 September 2022 and will be based at the main campus in London.
