From £46,100 - £53,295 per annum pa inclusive with potential to progress to £59,354 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed-term contract for three years with the potential to extend subject to funding

 

The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, a research centre of the London School of Economics, is pleased to invite applications to the above post.

 

We are looking for a deputy research and project lead (Policy Fellow) for the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) at LSE and to support our other research on corporate carbon emissions. TPI is a global investor initiative supported by more than 60 asset owners and managers with over $18 trillion of Assets under Management and Advice. We assess how companies are progressing on the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Grantham Research Institute is the academic partner to the Initiative.

 

In this significant role within TPI, you will work with Professor Simon Dietz to conduct rigorous analysis to support TPI investors on climate change. You will lead on reports and presentations, develop TPI methodology, and engage with stakeholders including TPI partners and supporters, data providers, and media relations. You will manage a team of research assistants.

 

Candidates will have at minimum a postgraduate degree in environmental economics/finance, environmental/energy policy, corporate sustainability, economics, finance, management, or a related field. They will have substantial experience in a research role in academia or the private/public sector, focusing on corporate sustainability, corporate accountability, carbon foot-printing, ESG, sustainability, environmental markets, etc. They will have strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to research complex issues and produce high-quality research outputs aimed at decision-makers, in a timely manner.
