Salary from £31,029 to £35,635 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £38,283

pa inclusive of London allowance

 

This is a fixed term contract until 31 July 2024

 

LSE is the world’s leading social sciences institution, established for the betterment of society. The School is committed to widening access to and participation in higher education and ‘developing LSE for everyone’ is a key objective of the new LSE 2030 strategy.

 

The Widening Participation team, based in the Academic Registrar’s Division, leads our efforts to widen access to LSE for UK Undergraduate students from under-represented groups and supports the attainment and progression to HE for hundreds of young people each year. The Widening Participation team leads on the delivery of key elements of the School’s outreach and widening access strategy, as set out in our Access and Participation Plan and our newly-developed theory of change.

 

The Widening Participation Data and Impact Coordinator will be key to the delivery of the Widening Participation team’s monitoring and evaluation strategy. The Post Holder will support the Deputy Head of WP to ensure that appropriate, effective and rigorous evaluation takes place across all our programmes and will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of data and impact related processes, at both an operational and strategic level.  The post-holder will also track and analyse data and the educational outcomes of WP programme participants to assess their impact in the short and longer term, to ensure delivery on priorities detailed in the LSE's Access and Participation Plan and within the School’s strategy, LSE 2030.

 

Candidates should have:

-         General knowledge of UK education and widening participation issues

-         Knowledge and understanding of a range of qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation techniques

-         Experience of managing, manipulating and analysing large datasets using appropriate software such as Excel, Tableau, SPSS or Stata

-         Experience of working with data and reports in a CRM or similar databases

-         The ability to collate, analyse and present a wide range of information and data to specification, for monitoring and reporting purposes
