Communication and Events Assistant
Salary from £32,135 to £35,304 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £37,641 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 18 months
The LSE Department of Health Policy aims to advance knowledge and understanding of health care systems through undertaking post-graduate and executive teaching, and through research and scholarship at the highest international quality standards to the benefit of the international and national health policy community.
The Communications and Events Assistant will work with the Department of Health Policy Communication and Marketing Manager to deliver a wide range of events and assist with internal and external communications. They will be involved in updating the Department’s website, promoting events, copywriting, maintaining the department’s social media channels, producing newsletters and working closely with academic and senior staff to run the Departmental and Internal Seminar Series.
Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences. They will have demonstrable proficiency with digital event tools and the ability to effectively communicate across multiple channels. Evidence of being able to provide a high standard of service is essential. Experience producing content in a professional context (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, newsletters) would be an advantage.
