Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning and research in the world, Founded in 1895, LSE counts 18 Nobel Prize winners among its alumni and staff.

 

LSE Health and Safety Team has a varied and interesting remit that includes managing travel risk as well as providing excellent health and safety advice to the School community.  We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated Health and Safety Adviser to join our team.  Your responsibilities will include working with key stakeholders across the School to improve the health and safety management system and align it to ISO45001. You will be required to provide advice, develop procedures, complete inspections, investigate accidents/near misses and promote a positive health and safety culture. This role will ideally suit a health and safety professional who is interested in working in a diverse environment and is a great opportunity to join a small, busy and friendly team.

 

Candidates should have, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and working towards a higherlevel of qualification such as level 5 or 6 Diploma or equivalent professional qualification, excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently to a variety of audiences and excellent time-management skills, with the ability to organise a busy and demanding workload to a high standard.
