LSE Fellow in Quantitative Social Research Methods
Salary from £36,647 to £44,140 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment from 1 December 2021 to 31 August 2023.
The Department of Sociology is seeking a full-time LSE Fellow to contribute teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate courses on quantitative social research methods, and to act as academic mentor to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
You will have a completed or near-completed PhD in Sociology or a closely related social science discipline. You should have a high level of knowledge and empirical skills in quantitative social research and analysis, including the use of R and Stata, along with relevant skills and experience in teaching quantitative social research and analysis. You will demonstrate a developing research profile in a relevant field of social research; we encourage applications from candidates with expertise in one of the Department’s areas of research priority: economic sociology; politics and human rights; social inequalities; urban sociology. You will have the ability to work in close partnership with fellow teachers and to provide effective support within a teaching team, and to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
