Business Analyst

Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) serves, engages and works in partnership with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, donors, global partners, organisations and the wider community to increase engagement with LSE across the world and, by doing so, to increase philanthropic income and strategic partnerships for the university’s priorities.


The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the work of the PAGE. The role sits within the Systems and Data team and reports to the Head of Systems and Data. The postholder will facilitate the efficient and compliant delivery of data and insight, support and maintain data driven processes and provision of technical support to colleagues across PAGE.


Key responsibilities include:

  •  Lead business improvement projects specific to PAGE, using business analysis techniques and a structured project management approach.
  • Work with non-technical colleagues in PAGE to provide expert advice on the capabilities of systems and to provide solutions to business problems.
  • Lead in testing the solutions, including leading in Business Validation and User Acceptance Testing, as required.
  • Be the business analysis expert for PAGE, demonstrating ‘best practice’ in accordance with BIU standards, and providing guidance to colleagues.


Candidates should have

  •  Experience in using business analyst techniques to provide effective user focused solutions.
  • Experience in writing documentation including process maps, technical documentation and user guides for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Marketing Cloud or similar fundraising software solutions.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, able to lead workshops involving all forms of stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes.
