Undergraduate Admissions and Access Specialist

Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed term appointment for 11 months from April 2026 – February 2027

LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from all over the world. The Undergraduate Admissions Office manages the applications of over 30,000 applicants every year for a variety of degree programmes at the School.

An exciting opportunity has arisen offering you the opportunity to join this successful team. We would like to recruit a new Admissions and Access Specialist to work alongside six existing post-holders and the Undergraduate Admissions Team. You will work in conjunction with departmental admissions tutors in the selection of new undergraduates for a range of departments in the School. You will also take part in school and college liaison activity.

You should have experience of teaching at secondary school or FE level (although we will also consider applications from those with other relevant experience). In addition you should be able to make difficult decisions, have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to work, accurately and efficiently, as part of a team to meet tight deadlines. You should have knowledge of the UCAS cycle and process (including experience of supporting students with a wide range of backgrounds and abilities through the UCAS application process).

This is a fixed term role (11 months: April 2026 to February 2027) with scope for flexible working.
