Teaching Support and Events Officer
Salary from £31,029 to £35,635 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £38,283 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 18 months
The Data Science Institute is seeking a highly committed and motivated administrator to ensure the smooth administration of its new undergraduate teaching modules and student events. The DSI has three DS-coded modules, but no undergraduate degree programmes of its own.
The postholder will work closely with our teaching team and our Communications and Events Manager. They will service the Institute’s Teaching Committee and support teaching quality reviews and assessment processes. They will be confident technically and willing to learn and develop skills to enhance and deliver teaching-related systems and processes in the Institute.
Candidates should have relevant administrative experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, sound IT skills, the ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative as well as within a team. Previous experience of working as a course/programme administrator in an HE environment and of organising events are essential.
