Subwarden 2026/27 - Multiple posts across various halls of residence

 

These posts include free single accommodation in central London and an honorarium payment of £1,897 per annum, pro rata. The role is for a maximum of one academic year.

 

Move into accommodation 1-2 Sept 2026.

 

(Only for LSE postgraduate students).

 

Residential and Catering Services houses over 4,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across ten halls, located predominantly in central London.

 

Together with the Warden, Subwardens play a front-line and crucial role in supporting LSE students in their accommodation. Their presence enhances resident wellbeing, builds a sense of community and helps maintain an acceptable standard of conduct, ensuring everyone can enjoy both studying and socialising.

 

All halls are supported by experienced reception teams who work alongside Wardens, Subwardens and Hall Committees to maintain a positive and inclusive community atmosphere.

The role requires the postholder to reside in a designated LSE hall of residence. Hall assignments will be confirmed by the Residential Life team following the interview process. Please note that this role involves out-of-hours cover and participation in an on-call rota, including weekends and LSE closure periods.

All successful applicants will be required to undergo a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing the role.
