£31,960 to £36,705 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £39,432 inclusive of London allowance 

 
This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years with potential to extend subject to funding

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to join a small busy team in LSE’s newest, rapidly expanding, institute. The Institute Administrator role offers considerable scope for the development of responsibilities to expand your current skill set in the areas of executive support, the administration of a teaching and research institute, and supporting the Institute’s governance processes and communications. The role includes general office duties, facilities management, being the first point of contact for enquiries, arranging meetings, minute-taking, diary management, travel bookings, and budget management. The post holder will also support HR activities such as recruitment, and managing the application processes for our Affiliates, Visiting Appointments and Visiting Research Students.

 

We are looking for an individual with:

·        Administrative experience with a particular focus on diary and travel management

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and accurate manner

·        Ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines across a varied workload

·        Excellent IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

·        A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

·        Ability to provide a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders

·        Experience of working in the higher education sector, including teaching and research administration (desirable)

·        Ability to work collaboratively in a team under limited supervision
