Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance

 

 

Working directly with LSE’s Head of Strategy and Portfolio Management: Educate for Global Impact, who reports to LSE’s Vice President (Education), this new role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enterprising individual to take responsibility for supporting a wide range of fast-moving strategy development and delivery activity, in a large, complex organisation.

 

Educate for Global Impact (EGI) is LSE’s strategy for education and student experience and priority 1 in LSE’s 2030 Strategy. EGI has a wide remit, covering anything to do with students including relevant dimensions of staff activity and technology change, and spans business as usual (BAU) and change activity.

 

This is a unique role in education and student experience at LSE working at the intersection of strategy, portfolio and programme management, change management, and stakeholder engagement. The role holder will develop a strong understanding and gain experience of these areas and how they interconnect. This an excellent opportunity to start or develop a career in these areas.

 

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of the EGI strategy and EGI Change portfolio, and for drafting and updating notes, minutes, reports, spreadsheets, slide decks, and other material for a range of internal audiences including the EGI Steering Group, other governance bodies, and key stakeholder groups. The post holder will be required to work closely and effectively with a wide range of colleagues at all levels of LSE; and with a diverse group of strategy delivery functions including analysis, evaluation, business improvement, technology, and finance to effectively draw on and integrate their activities and resources.

 

Candidates should have:

·        Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Developed skills producing timely and effective notes and/or minutes that support effective work between meetings.

·        Excellent organisation and time management skills

·        Some experience of working on projects.

·        Experience of working independently to proactively maintain spreadsheets to monitor and track information, such as actions, tasks, or financial information.

·        Experience of working effectively and in a context sensitive way in a complex organisation with a variety of cultures, for example Higher Education.
