Hellenic Observatory Administrator

Salary from £27,416 to £30,607 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £32,768 pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed term appointment for 7 months (maternity cover)

This is a full-time position; however, we are open to part time minimum of 3 days (0.6 FTE)

The Hellenic Observatory (HO) is a research unit based in the LSE’s European Institute. Its aim is to promote the study of contemporary Greece and Cyprus via research-related activities, and a busy public events programme.

The Administrator’s main duties include the provision of administrative support to the HO team, being first point of contact for external enquiries and responsibility for general office duties. The post holder will be assisting with the HO events programme and publicity, including updates on social media and preparing mailouts and updating the HO’s webpages.

Candidates should have

• Excellent IT skills, inc.excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive experience in office administration.
• Written communications skills, and the ability to deal with people at all levels.
• Experience in copy-editing and production of publications.
