Salary from £43,227 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years.

  

The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity programme (AFSEE) programme housed in the International Inequalities Institute (III) will mark its 10th anniversary year in 2027. This 2-year post will be responsible for leading on the development, organisation and delivery of a programme of events and KEI activities and outputs to mark the anniversary year including the organisation and delivery of an international community convening of AFSEE Fellows to take place in January 2027. 

 

The role will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for the 10th anniversary of the AFSEE programme that engages a range of audiences, including both internal and external stakeholders, and raises the reputation and awareness of the programme to public audiences. The post holder will design and implement a programme to share knowledge and awareness of the AFSEE programme including the Senior Fellows community, key programmatic initiatives/outputs and activities contributing to the overarching strategic goals and values.  This role involves working with the AFSEE Executive Director, the AFSEE Communications Manager, the wider AFSEE team and the AFSEE Fellows’ community to achieve these objectives. The post-holder will be required to undertake international travel and will be required to work occasional evenings/weekends.

  

Candidates should have 

  • Experience of leading in a communications or knowledge exchange role
  • Experience of event organisation
  •  Ability to proactively encourage communications and knowledge exchange activities and identify opportunities to achieve shared objectives
  • Capacity to develop and deliver strategy and action plans that take forward agreed priorities
