Research Officer (GCRF Gender, Justice and Security Hub - Conventions)
Salary from £38,313 to £46,148 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £49,614
pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a full time, fixed term position until 31 March 2024.
The Centre for Women, Peace and Security is a leading academic space for scholars, practitioners, activists, policy-makers and students to develop strategies to promote justice, human rights and participation for women in conflict-affected situations around the world.
We seek a Research Officer to support the Principal Investigators (PIs) in delivering the GCRF Gender, Justice and Security Hub’s Convention strategy. They will liaise with Co-Directors, Project Partners, and Management, Impact, Communications and Administration (MICA) staff in UK and overseas Research Partner Organisations to research, design, organise and deliver two ambitious multi-day conventions in Hub focus countries, including planning for and managing risks; planning and delivering the logistics of the Convention on the ground; and managing budgets and suppliers associated with delivering the Conventions.
The post-holder will have a PhD or be close to completion or have outstanding equivalent experience in International Development, International Relations, Feminist Methodologies, Gender Studies, Policy Studies or other relevant subject. Familiarity with knowledge exchange, dissemination and impact is an asset. Excellent written communication skills, sufficient to draft clear and error free emails with an appropriately professional and friendly register is essential for the role.
