Salary is competitive and not less than £36,647 pa
 

These are fixed term appointments until at least 15 September 2021,
with the possibility of an extension up to two years

 

The European Institute is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of processes of integration and fragmentation within Europe. Our disciplinary range is unrivalled, with staff and researchers drawn from the fields of political economy, politics, international relation, history, economics anthropology, philosophy, sociology and geography. Our research has been ranked first in the UK in last two national research exercises.

The successful candidates will contribute to teaching on the MSc in the Political Economy of Europe programme and our MSc Double Degree in the Global Political Economy of China and Europe. You will act as an academic mentor and dissertation/policy incubator supervisor to students, undertake assessment marking, participate in student engagement activities and perform administrative duties as required by the Head of Department, Programme Director, or Department Manager.

You will have an emerging record of teaching and research in a disciplinary field broadly related to the Political Economy of Europe (for example, CPE, IPE, International Economics, Economics of European Integration, Economic Sociology, etc.) and you will have a completed or nearly completed PhD in a relevant subject by 30 June 2020.

You will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and offer a commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
