Catering Supervisor (LSE Catering)

Salary from £23,957 to £27,036 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £28,562 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from across the globe. LSE Catering manages restaurants, cafes, bars and shops across campus and halls of residence providing catering, retail and hospitality services to our staff and student community.

LSE Catering are looking for a Catering Supervisor to provide high quality hospitality services for our international students, staff and guests on main campus in and around our Centre Building (CBG).

Located in the heart of the campus the hospitality services and cafés are a central attraction for the student community.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, who is positive minded and motivated. The candidate must have a proven record of high-quality hospitality services and retail and coffee shop experience, customer focused and with a knowledge and passion for innovative and current food trends with a particular interest in healthy, ethical and contemporary.

We are looking for a good communicator with high standards of food safety.

What’s essential is that you’ll enjoy working within a team. You’ll be assisting with coaching and developing junior staff members to consistently deliver great service and standards, also important are flexibility, teamwork, drive and a passion for good food and service.

Although this position is assigned to the Centre Building, all catering staff work flexibly and may be required to work in any of LSE Catering facilities.

Working hours are varied and may involve early mornings, evenings and weekends. We offer straight shifts over an average 35-hour week.
