Appointment of Associate Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research)
LSE is now seeking applications for the role Associate Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research).
The Associate Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research) deputise for and support the Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research) in providing academic leadership, to ensure the achievement of the School’s strategic goals in research. The role is to assist in making sure the LSE effectively supports all research and research-related activities, through the Research & Innovation Division and the LSE Library directly, and through the School’s Departments, Research Centres and Institutes. In addition, the postholder will provide strategic support to the Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research) in the operational coordination for the Research Excellence Framework submission.
Candidates must be able to provide evidence of contributing to research within the School, either at a Departmental or institution-wide level, and an understanding of how this aligns with School-wide priorities. They must be an established Professor or Associate Professor and have an international reputation in their academic field. Excellent written and oral communications skills are essential to the role, as well as the ability to solve complex problems and take decisions.

The role is for a three-year term at 0.5 FTE. It will be an Office Holder position and attract an honorarium.
